Good Intentions

Good Intentions Wine Co. is the personal project of Andrew and Louise, who returned to Mount Gambier / Berrin in South Australia — Andrew’s childhood home — to build a family and a winery grounded in land and community. Their first vintage in 2014 coincided with the arrival of their daughter Frankie, setting the tone for a label shaped by place and patience.

Set among some of Australia’s youngest volcanic soils and shaped by a cool climate, the wines show purity, finesse, and individuality. In the cellar, Andrew and Louise take an old-world approach, allowing terroir to lead, complemented by fruit from trusted growers across the Limestone Coast.

Frequently asked questions about Good Intentions

What makes Good Intentions wines special?

Good Intentions wines are selected for their quality, personality and sense of place. We focus on producers whose wines feel distinctive, carefully made and genuinely enjoyable to drink.

How are these wines made?

Good Intentions follows a thoughtful, low-intervention approach to winemaking. The focus is on healthy vineyards, careful farming, hand-harvested fruit, wild yeast fermentations and avoiding unnecessary additions or manipulation in the winery. Rather than chasing a particular style, the aim is to produce wines that honestly reflect the vineyard, the season and the winemaker's intent.

Which Good Intentions wine should I start with?

If you're new to Good Intentions, start with the bottle that best matches the style you already enjoy. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll happily point you toward the best place to begin.

Are these wines good for gifting?

Absolutely. Good Intentions makes an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys discovering thoughtful, small-batch wines. Add a greeting card at checkout and we'll make sure no pricing information is included in the parcel.

How should I store and serve these wines?

Store bottles somewhere cool, dark and stable. Serve whites, sparkling and lighter reds chilled, and give fuller reds a gentle cool-down rather than serving them too warm.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes. We ship Australia-wide, with free delivery on orders over $149. Most orders arrive within 5 business days.
