Owen Latta is the face behind Latta Vino, a West Victorian producer known for expressive, experimental, minimal-intervention wines.
Owen grew up immersed in wine, with his family’s vineyard forming the foundations of what is now Eastern Peake. Remarkably, he completed his first vintage at just 15; an early start that shaped a deeply intuitive approach.
Today, Owen steers both Eastern Peake and LATTA. While Eastern Peake focuses on site-driven classics, LATTA offers a more experimental lens: exploring alternative varieties, textures, and techniques with curiosity and restraint.
Sustainability sits at the core of everything he does, with careful attention to soil health and vineyard resilience. Owen works with Nebbiolo, Grenache, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc, crafting wines that reflect place, season, and an ever-evolving conversation between vineyard and cellar.
