Lucy M is one of the defining names of the Basket Range in the Adelaide Hills. Anton's wines helped shape the conversation around thoughtful, authentic, Australian natural wine. The focus is on organic fruit and intuitive farming with nothing added and nothing taken away. The wines are expressive, raw and most importantly, a joy to drink.
In the cellar, the philosophy is simple: handle the fruit as gently as possible and bottle wines that feel energetic, fragrant and utterly drinkable.
Anton doesn't use any sulphur in his winemaking or at bottling so the wines can sometimes have a little spritz quality. Unusual if you're used to drinking conventional wine, however perfectly charming when you know it's a natural characteristic of the wine. In the glass, expect flowing texture, lifted aromatics and fruit purity.
These are wines made for the table rather than the trophy cabinet, wines to open with friends, share over food and enjoy in the moment.
