About The Wine
The mighty, iconic terraced Kellerberg vineyard produces deep, profound and though provoking Riesling. The centuries old, terraced walls retain and reflect heat resulting in grapes that are intense and full of flavour. The site reigns supreme and wines made from grapes grown on Kellerberg speak volumes of the terraces on which they are grown and varietal character is often taken over by the extremely strong stamp of the site itself! – Knoll
Review
"Extremely pronounced Mediterranean-herb aromas pour from the glass. Then comes the radical minerality of this austere masterpiece that has Amalfi lemons and a few wild-berry notes but none of the usual stone-fruit charm. Either this will blow your mind with its stony intensity or you’ll want something else. In spite of all this, there’s a lovely little burst of juiciness in the long, very focused finish. Drink or hold."

About Emmerich Knoll
Weingut Emmerich Knoll is a name that resonates far beyond the Wachau, standing tall as one of Austria’s most revered and recognisable producers. With their iconic Saint Urban labels and cult-status wines, the Knoll family—led today by brothers Emmerich III and August—has built a legacy of brilliance from their base in Unterloiben. Their wines are defined by concentration and precision, with a quiet inner power that reflects the steep, gneiss-rich vineyards of Kellerberg, Loibenberg and Schütt. A legendary 1990 Vinothekfüllung Grüner Veltliner famously beat out top Burgundies in a 2002 blind tasting, sealing Knoll’s place on the world stage. Long hang time, careful selection, and fermentation in old oak yield Grüner and Riesling of pedigree and poise. These are wines that reward patience—and continue to define what’s possible from the Wachau.
