About The Wine
Planted in 1981 on ancient red volcanic soils at an elevation of 150 meters, this dry-grown vineyard consists of four distinct Pinot Noir parcels. Two north-facing blocks feature the MV6 clone, alongside a sheltered south-facing plot of the same variety, as well as another block planted with Abel.
The wine's bouquet is filled with the aromas of ripe dark fruits such as blueberry, blackberry, and blackcurrant, complemented by poached autumnal fruits like quince, medlar, and pear.
On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with nuances of rose hip, mace, and black pepper, offering a plush mouthfeel. Fine tannins and a distinct terracotta-like minerality evoke the essence of baked red earth.
