Owen Latta is the winemaker behind Latta Vino, a Western Victorian producer known for expressive, minimal-intervention wines.
Owen grew up immersed in wine, with his family’s vineyard forming the foundations of what is now Eastern Peake. Remarkably, he completed his first vintage at just 15; an early start that shaped a deeply intuitive approach to farming and winemaking.
Today, Owen steers both Eastern Peake and LATTA. While Eastern Peake focuses on site-driven classics, LATTA offers a more experimental lens: exploring alternative varieties, textures, and techniques with curiosity and restraint.
Sustainability sits at the core of everything he does, with careful attention to soil health and long-term vineyard resilience. Across both labels, Owen crafts wines that reflect place, season, and an ever-evolving conversation between vineyard and cellar.
