2023 'Saint Pierre' Chablis

The combination of the Limestone and clay soils that are so typical of the appellation, and a continental climate allow the Chardonnay grape to produce this fine, elegant and racy Chablis, with a distinct minerality.

Made from vines planted in 1988, 1989 and 2001 and vinified uniquely in stainless steel tanks, this is a great example of grapes harvested at full maturity. Marked by a beautiful acidity, this Chablis can be drunk as soon as its first year, but will continue to improve for 5 to 7 years.

The grapes were harvested by hand from several plots located on different terroirs from Maligny, Chablis and Fleys. This cuvée was vinified with indigenous yeast in stainless steel tanks (72%) Sandstone Jars (10%) and 228, 600 and 1800 Litres Oak Barrels.

Serve at 12-13°C. Perfect as an aperitif or with oysters, shellfish, grilled fish and charcuterie.

After 45 years at the helm of Domaine Laroche, Michel Laroche embarked on a new project with his daughter, Margaux. Beginning with the 2012 vintage, Domaine d’Henri is named in honour of Michel’s father, Henri.

The domaine is based on 22 hectares of reclaimed Laroche family vineyards, comprising 17 plots across Petit Chablis, Chablis, and the Premier Crus of Fourchaume and Beauroy.
