It's an indication of the generosity of the 2018 vintage that we have a 100% Savagnin from Les Nouvelles. This 30+ year old Savagnin is from a part of Les Nouvelles that Renaud and Adeline no longer work, with this 2018 being the final vintage, partly because its steep slopes are so difficult. The soil is calcareous clay with limestone scree. Whole bunches were directly pressed and then aged in barrels that were topped up for nearly 4 years. It was bottled in June 2022. It's lively, fresh and Renaud says ready to drink, although it will still cellar well for a few more years.

Renaud Bruyère and Adeline Houillon are among the Jura's most exciting young vignerons, farming just 4.5 hectares of low-yielding vines around the renowned village of Pupillin, proudly known as the "World Capital of Ploussard". Rather than expanding, the couple deliberately reduced their holdings to a scale they could manage by hand, allowing them to devote meticulous attention to every vineyard and every bottle. Their tiny production and uncompromising approach have earned them a devoted following among lovers of authentic Jura wines.

Their vineyards are spread across a handful of exceptional sites in Arbois and Arbois-Pupillin, where complex marl and limestone soils give the wines remarkable character and finesse. Old-vine Chardonnay and Savagnin produce vibrant, mineral-driven whites of impressive longevity, while their beautifully ethereal Ploussard perfectly captures the delicacy and purity for which Pupillin is famous. Every wine reflects a deep connection to place, expressing the unique terroirs of the Jura with clarity, precision and quiet elegance.
