About The Wine

Approximately 80% Chardonnay and 20% Savagnin, the vines in Les Tourillons, a vineyard overlooking Arbois, are co-planted. They are harvested and vinified together. It was aged for 2 years in 400 litre barrels (bottled in June 2022). The wine is very fresh and drinking this is a little like licking limestone which has been seasoned with lemons.

Renaud Bruyère and Adeline Houillon are among the Jura's most exciting young vignerons, farming just 4.5 hectares of low-yielding vines around the renowned village of Pupillin, proudly known as the "World Capital of Ploussard". Rather than expanding, the couple deliberately reduced their holdings to a scale they could manage by hand, allowing them to devote meticulous attention to every vineyard and every bottle. Their tiny production and uncompromising approach have earned them a devoted following among lovers of authentic Jura wines.

Their vineyards are spread across a handful of exceptional sites in Arbois and Arbois-Pupillin, where complex marl and limestone soils give the wines remarkable character and finesse. Old-vine Chardonnay and Savagnin produce vibrant, mineral-driven whites of impressive longevity, while their beautifully ethereal Ploussard perfectly captures the delicacy and purity for which Pupillin is famous. Every wine reflects a deep connection to place, expressing the unique terroirs of the Jura with clarity, precision and quiet elegance.
