About the Wine

Elegant, precise, and deeply rooted in its terroir, the 2022 Strasser Weinberge Riesling is a stunning expression of Kamptal’s mineral-rich soils and cool climate. Sourced from the Arndorfers’ prized vineyard sites around the village of Strass, this Riesling is a study in purity and finesse.

The nose is vibrant with aromas of lime zest, white peach, and wet stone. On the palate, it’s razor-sharp yet textured, offering a beautiful tension between bright acidity and a layered, almost salty minerality. Subtle floral and herbal notes add complexity, leading to a long, clean finish that lingers with citrus and crushed rock.

This is a Riesling for both thinkers and drinkers — expressive enough to enjoy now, yet structured enough to evolve beautifully with time.

About Arndorfer

Open minded and one of the most forward thinking, winemaking couples in Austria. Martin & Anna craft character filled wines, with depth and texture at the forefront.

They produce a pure, precise and idiosyncratic range of wines from Strass in the east of Kamptal, not far from the famous hill of Gaisberg.

Martin and Anna's wines have a focus and delineation that is rare - they certainly don't lack for stuffing, but are poised along a backbone of acidity and soil expression. A mix of slate, granite, gneiss and loess exists around Strass, and these tones are clearly evident in the wines.

Amongst his prestige wines, Martin's training in Burgundy and experience with raising wines in barrel is evident, but never in place of purity and deliciousness.
