A blend of Vermentino, Ansonica and Pecorino with splashes of Falanghina, Moscato Giallo and Nosiola.

The Mother Block Skin Contact lets you experience a style of wine that’s becoming more and more popular without veering too left of field. A wine that is lively with pineapple, feijoa, guava and lashings of lemon and lime, Vietnamese mint and coconut water.  In the mouth its bitter lemon, almond, hazelnut and pistachio with juicy cantaloupe, custard apple and a chalky, herbal grippy texture.

About Chalmers

The Chalmers family have been shaping Australian wine from the Murray Darling for decades, with their Merbein vineyard home to the original Mother Blocks planted from Italian cuttings imported by Bruce and Jenni Chalmers.

These vines, the first of their kind in Australia, are both the foundation of the family nursery and the reason they began making wine in the first place, initially to showcase the potential of these varieties, and ultimately because the wines proved too compelling to ignore.

Today, the Mother Block range is a celebration of climate-apt varieties grown in the right place, expressing the region with clarity, personality and a genuine sense of place, while pointing toward the future of Australian viticulture.
