Oh so juicy Grenache. Chill it down, relax and enjoy. Textural, detailed and expressive, crafted with Latta love and minimal intervention.

"Light red.. Dark rosé, does it matter…  sit back, relax & enjoy the ride. We’re in safe hands here with excellent Grenache fruit grown by Cory Hope up in the Pyrenees at the Shays Flat site.

Cory manages 50 hectares of vines over three sites in the valley which are all farmed certified organic, a huge undertaking in my book. It's one of the best sets of vineyards in the Pyrenees which we are so lucky to have access to these sites.

Here we have Grenache, with Inspiration taken from a little region called Tavel in the southern Rhône of France. 3 harvests quite a few techniques in the cellar - 30% whole bunch, Infusion, Cab Mac, concrete fermenter etc, basket pressed off directly to barrel. 8 months elevage in various sized casks, estate bottled straight after racking for cask.

This vintage of Presence is looking absolutely excellent, so fine, so pure excellent fruit with great fine tannin to back it all up."

About Owen Latta

Like a lot of winemakers Owen Latta was born into the wine industry after his parents purchased some land in 1970s that is now home to the Eastern Peake wine label. But unlike most winemakers Owen Latta completed his first vintage at just 15.

Owen now manages both LATTA and Eastern Peake winery with the
former being a chance to experiment with interesting grape varietals and exciting winemaking techniques.

He’s just as passionate about sustainable farming and improving soil health, always aiming to make a positive impact in the vineyard.

Through Eastern Peake and Latta Vino, Owen continues to craft wines that tell a story of place and time often pushing the boundaries with his innovative approach.
