About The Wine
Brooding and dark with violet flower brightness keeping the moody feels in check. Meaty, bloody, but with brambly berries and plums to soften and round off those classic grippy tannin. Balanced yet rustic, powerful yet lithe, still the ultimate pizza red.
About Delinquente
Growing up where his father managed wineries for over 35 years, Greg discovered his calling when he tasted his first exceptional Riverland wine and realised the untapped potential of his home region. His vision: harness Southern Italian grape varieties perfectly suited to the Riverland's hot, dry climate, and transform them into "smashable" wines that challenge preconceptions about South Australian winemaking.
Working with trusted organic growers he's known since childhood, Greg crafts small-batch wines using wild yeast fermentation and minimal intervention, letting the red dirt and Australian terroir speak for itself.
With eye-catching labels by Adelaide street artist Jason Koen, Delinquente embodies its Italian namesake – delinquent, rule-breaking, and unapologetically different. This is pure, honest winemaking that captures the sun-soaked intensity of the Riverland while delivering fresh, lower-alcohol wines that make you heed the call of your wild child within.
