About the Wine
Loveable Sangiovese with puckering acidity, dusty tannins and flavour for days. It's Adelaide Hills sure, but it's a clear comparison to the old world. As good as lunch wine gets we reckon, and who doesn't love a wine at lunch!
About Gentle Folk
Gentle Folk is the winery of Gareth and Rainbo Belton, both marine scientists, who found themselves drawn to the Adelaide Hills to start making wine. With the help of viticulturist Dr Dylan Grigg they began acquiring small plots of vine and growing their own grapes - a necessary step, in Gareth’s mind, to establishing a true connection with the land. Since their first three-barrel ferment in 2013, Gentle Folk has made an impact on the Adelaide Hills wine scene, bridging the natural and traditional wine aesthetics in an honest (and delicious) way. The wines range... to single-site chardonnays and pinot noirs of classical proportions.
