A wine I love to make every year - every year since the first in 2021 it has changed a bit due to fruit availabity/vineyard source yet made in the same way and always sharing some similar characteristics. Last year was a hell of a bumpy ride - hence this years cuvee name. Super textural, blood orange like savoury tang, fresh acidity with a hint of oxidative notes...
Whole bunch Heathcote Vermentino (25%) macerated in direct pressed Syrah (25%) for 7 days blended with part whole bunch Grenache Blanc (50%) macerated for 7 days. Elevage in neutral oak for 9 months with no topping of the barrels. Blended to stainless 1 month before bottling.
750ml 11.9% alc.
All wines unfiltered, unfined & wild fermented.
