2022 Marco Lubiana Chardonnay

The 2022 Chardonnay has a powerful nose effusing a mix of lemon meringue, flint, oak spice, hazelnuts and toast, the acid line is long and taut but balanced out by a rich and smooth texture. The wine is drinking deliciously well now but it will continue to improve with age.

A mix of 40% Huon Valley and 60% Derwent Valley, from Estate Lubiana family vineyards, hand picked and hand sorted the grapes were whole bunch pressed to 228L French oak barrels with 15% new oak, the ferment was wild and slow, malolactic fermentation was carried out in Spring and the wine remained on full lees for 11 months. The wine was carefully racked out of barrel in February 2023 and bottled in June 2023 without filtration.

Lots of flavour, lots of character, some palate staining sweetness and more spice, a slick finish that rolls on with light, briny elements. Important Delivery Information:

Same day deliveries must be received in person and cannot be left unattended.
First time orders can only be delivered to the person who placed the order – we are required to check ID to confirm the recipient is 18 or over.
Delivery drivers will refuse delivery to an intoxicated person.
People receiving gift orders must have their ID checked to confirm they are 18 or over.
Standard deliveries (not same day) are marked ‘Authority to Leave’ so our driver can leave the parcel in a safe place for you.
We will always do our best to find a safe place, however if the driver deems it unsafe to leave, your order will be returned to await further instructions from you, or in the case of Australia Post deliveries, the parcel will be taken to the nearest collection facility.
Delivery charges are non-refundable. A $15 charge will apply for redelivery.
