Description
This is a stunning Sauvignon Blanc - Sémillon blend from Young Gun of Wine Winner, Ryan Ponsford.
South facing vines on Red volcanic soil at the Warragul Vineyard. The forty-year-old, dry grown, original-rooted vineyard is organically farmed.
Rich, complex, vibrant, powerful wine with heaps of acidity. Barrel fermented and aged on full lees. Sauvignon blanc and Sémillon once again proving they just work so damn well together. Green and yellow fruits, green apple, lime and some fresh cut grass. Mineral and precise.
The label depicts the critically endangered Warragul burrowing Crayfish, with a distribution of only 20 square kms around Baw Baw Shire.
