About The Wine
A Riesling lovers Riesling, The fruit was destemmed and given 48 hours of skin contact before being pressed to old French oak for a long cool ferment. The wine completed malolactic fermentation and spent 1 year in barrel and then 14 months to settle in bottle before release. Loads of texture, sharp acidity with plenty of fruit and a hint of minerality. As with all things R. D’Meure we have another outstanding and complex wine.
About R. D’Meure
- D’Meure is a collaboration of uncle and nephew Dirk and Rory which started in 2016. Based on the shores of D’Entrecasteaux Channel 40Km South of Hobart overlooking Bruny Island, the vineyard is fully organic practices with no use of systemic sprays or herbicides. As of 2020 Dirk has retired from winemaking leaving the vineyards and winemaking in Rory’s hands and we can’t wait to see where his wines take us!
