About The Wine
Subtle sparkling with notes of pears, apples and peach, on a festival of light and very elegant bubbles. The palate is dry, notes of granny smith apples and hazelnut, built around a nice, ripe acidity.
Fruit is hand picked from Certified biodynamic, 25+ year old vines planted on marl/clay soils and fermented in stainless steel tanks.
This Appellation 'Cremant D'Alsace" is made using the traditional method with a secondary fermentation in bottle. It's aged for 32 months on lees before disgorging. Dosage is less than 3 g/l.
About Domaine Mittnacht Freres
It is at the foot of the fortified church of Hunawihr that the Mittnacht family has been producing highly expressive wines since 1963.
Today, it is Marc Mittnacht, son of André, his wife Paule and his son Pierre who work the 11 hectares of vines spread across the best terroirs of Hunawihr and Ribeauvillé.
For more than 20 years now, the vineyard has been managed using Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture.
