    About the Wine

The ‘Gloria’ vineyard, 1 hectare of 30-year-old dry grown Pinot Noir on an east facing slope of clay sandstone and quartz and is a mix of MV6 and 115 clones. After hand harvesting, the grapes were sorted, then destemmed with 10% whole bunches. Maceration was for 3 weeks followed by elevage for 8 months in 20% new barriques and 4 months in tank.

The wine has bright natural acidity and many red fruits including cherries cranberry and plums. It has an earthy core with forest floor adding layers of complexity.

    About Commune of Buttons

Rooted in a legacy of community, where every harvest was a shared endeavor, their name honors the spirit of collaboration that first brought the vineyards to life. Since 2012, they’ve embraced organic farming, navigating the challenges and rewards of working in harmony with the soil, seasons, and cycles of nature.
