2024 Commune of Buttons 'Eurilla' Pinot Noir

    • $38.00

    About the Wine

"Eurilla Pinot 2024 has bright natural acidity and is red-fruited with intense dark cherries and bramble. There are pleasant, savoury undertones of dry leaves and forest floor." - Jasper Button

This year, fruit for the Eurilla Pinot Noir hails from two of Jasper’s favoured sites in the Piccadilly Valley. The Aesctun Vineyard is located on the northern ridge of the valley and is home to south-facing slopes of sand, silt and clay over a bedrock of ancient sandstone. The Deanery Vineyard's east-facing slopes at the valley's southern end feature red clay soils over sandstone. The fruit was picked and sorted by hand before destemming (10% bunches retained). After a cold soak and fermentation (three weeks), the wine matured in three-year-old French barriques for eight months, followed by four months in tank to preserve freshness.

    About Commune of Buttons

Commune of Buttons is a sibling-run winery rooted in the Adelaide Hills at Basket Range, born from a shared dream to return home and steward their family land, ‘Fernglen’—70 acres of bush paddocks and thriving vineyards. Rooted in a legacy of community, where every harvest was a shared endeavor, their name honors the spirit of collaboration that first brought the vineyards to life. Since 2012, they’ve embraced organic farming, navigating the challenges and rewards of working in harmony with the soil, seasons, and cycles of nature. Every bottle is grown, harvested, and made on-site—a true expression of place, people, and purpose.
