About The Wine
Lucy M’s Merlot (100%) is sourced from Magpie Springs Farm in Hope Valley, a sandy site at the top of a hill close to the ocean. The fruit was destemmed and fermented in an open-top 2,000-litre oak barrel. The ferment was foot-stomped once a day over three weeks. The wine was then pressed to ceramic eggs for maturation.
Anton’s notes: The velvet warmth of darkness, the comfort of a warm, hairy mountain man cuddling in a cold winter morning, the richness of black pudding, the beauty in blackness.

His commitment to purity extends even to distilling his own alcohol for winery cleaning, eliminating any need for harsh chemicals throughout the entire operation.
