About The Wine

A delicious, medium bodied organic Bordeaux, filled with black plums and cherries. Lovely texture, spiciness and freshness. Vibrant aromas of fresh plums and blackberries.

Merlot vines are aged 10 to 15 years, with 3300 to 5000 vines per hectares. These are hand harvested, before a short 8-12 day cool maceration for a soft extraction. The wine is aged for 8-12 months in concrete tanks and bottled without systematic filtration, with only a small amounts of sulphur added.

About Chateau Tire Pe

Chateau Tire Pe is owned by David and Hélène Barrault, they took over this small vineyard in 1997. Blessed with rich clay and limestone soils, this vineyard possesses fantastic southern exposure and overlooks the Gironde River. The Chateau takes its name from a colourful local tale about what small animals “leave behind” before climbing the Tire Pé hill. We’ll leave that to your imagination.

All grapes are harvested by hand and destemmed, with each plot harvested and fermented separately with natural yeast. Great care is taken to gently extract the supple fruit and terroir, that Bordeaux is so well known for, into each cuvee they produce.

Important Delivery Information:

Same day deliveries must be received in person and cannot be left unattended.
Delivery drivers will refuse delivery to an intoxicated person.

Standard deliveries (not same day) are marked ‘Authority to Leave’ so our driver can leave the parcel in a safe place for you.
We will always do our best to find a safe place, however if the driver deems it unsafe to leave, your order will be returned to await further instructions from you, or in the case of Australia Post deliveries, the parcel will be taken to the nearest collection facility.
