About The Wine

This is a delicately orange wine with a refined and elegant nature to it. It has an abundance of energy with delicate and precise structure.

This year the ‘Granite’ cuvée is comprised of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc from our Tonimbuk site. 47 year old vines on coarse, weathered granite soils always give the wines from this site a lean and very mineral driven nature. It has more tannin than the 2021, largely due to the Pinot Gris/Grigio element. The time in tank on gross lees has given yet another layer of fine complexity to the wine.

As always..Wild ferment, No s02, No pumps, No additions, No oak. As pure a representation of site, place and time possible.

Bottled by gravity, Sealed with premium natural cork and beeswax.

About Nikau Farms

Dane Johns has carved a formidable reputation making some of Australia's best natural wines. His hugely popular Momento Mori wines have a cult following and it's not hard to see why. The Nikau Farms wines are from Dane and Hannah's Gippsland vineyards.

They operate with the ideology of creating wines that first and foremost respect the living and are wines that they like to drink and share. They farm two sites one on the steep hills of Strezelecki Ranges in Gippsland and another beneath the Black Snake Ranges in the Tonimbuk valley.

Farmed strictly with organic principles and a appreciation of the living and dynamic environment around them. Nikau Farm wines are all very small batch with no use of new oak or mechanical pumps used on the wines, no fining or filtering and no additions apart from occasionally a tiny amount of S02 at bottling.

Important Delivery Information:

Same day deliveries must be received in person and cannot be left unattended.
Delivery drivers will refuse delivery to an intoxicated person.

Standard deliveries (not same day) are marked ‘Authority to Leave’ so our driver can leave the parcel in a safe place for you.
We will always do our best to find a safe place, however if the driver deems it unsafe to leave, your order will be returned to await further instructions from you, or in the case of Australia Post deliveries, the parcel will be taken to the nearest collection facility.
Delivery charges are non-refundable. A $15 charge may apply for redelivery.
