    About The Wine

This Grillo comes from a secluded family vineyard of fifty-year-old bush vines rooted in red sands and terra rossa, only a kilometre from the sea. After a cool day of resting, the grapes are pressed, spend 24 hours macerating on skins and matured in concrete for ten months.

The result is an elegant, compact wine with mineral nuance, aromas of spice, briney citrus, toasted almonds, and hazelnuts. Saline brightness, balanced by mouth watering acidity and a long, briny finish.

    About Nino Barraco

In 2004, Nino Barraco took over his family’s vineyards and set out with a vision that diverged from convention. Farming organically and working exclusively with native grapes, he has dedicated himself to producing single-vineyard wines that capture both purity and a true sense of place.

Along the windswept coastline of Marsala, he now tends nearly twenty hectares planted to varieties such as Grillo, Catarratto, Zibibbo, Nero d’Avola, and Perricone. Each parcel is harvested, vinified, and bottled on its own, allowing the individuality of soils, exposures, and maritime influence to come through. His approach in the cellar is marked by restraint: guiding the wine gently from vineyard to bottle, avoiding manipulation, and preserving authenticity. Saline, radiant, and sunlit, Barraco’s wines embody the landscape — or, as he often remarks, they are “the sea in a glass.”
