About the Wine
The ‘Gloria’ vineyard, 1 hectare of 30-year-old dry grown Pinot Noir on an east facing slope of clay sandstone and quartz and is a mix of MV6 and 115 clones. After hand harvesting, the grapes were sorted, then destemmed with 10% whole bunches. Maceration was for 3 weeks followed by elevage for 8 months in 20% new barriques and 4 months in tank.
The wine has bright natural acidity and many red fruits including cherries cranberry and plums. It has an earthy core with forest floor adding layers of complexity.
