This wine is luscious with a deep mouthfeel but has outstanding retention of acidity and freshness. Distinctive earthy and sappy complexity showcases the purity of the terroir. Long and complex, this will age well. The wine's terrific stony lift on the finish gives it nice definition.
About Hochkirch/Tarrington
Both Hochkirch and Tarrington vineyards are dry-grown and on their own roots, vineyard work is manual, and yields are characteristically tiny. The Nagorckas entire farm is Demeter-certified (since 2003). They are known for their ability to leave the grapes to their own business: wild ferments, a little skin-contact for the whites, large neutral oak, non-filtering or fining and minimal sulphur the only addition.
