Crafted from Syrah grown in Vine Vale’s sandy soils, the 2022 Poolside reflects Tom Shobbrook’s light-touch, intuitive winemaking.

Fruit is picked early for vibrancy, destemmed, and allowed to ferment slowly and gently, maintaining purity and lift. After a relaxed, extended maceration, the wine is pressed off and bottled young under crown seal to lock in its bright, juicy character. Expect a lively rush of red berries, summer stone fruit and gentle spice, supported by refreshing acidity and a soft, supple palate.

Unfussy and irresistibly drinkable, it’s built for chillable pleasure and easy sharing. An undeniably fun expression of Barossa Syrah in its most playful form.

About Tom Shobbrook

Tom Shobbrook is one of Australia’s most influential natural-wine pioneers, crafting soulful, low-intervention wines from his high-elevation farm in the S.A. in Vine Vale.

Working organically and fermenting with native yeasts in open tanks, ceramic eggs, and old wood, Tom lets his fruit and his soils speak clearly. His wines are lean, bright, and full of tension — shaped by sandy-loam soils over clay and by a philosophy of “nothing added, nothing taken away.”
