About The Wine
An awesome textural Chenin Blanc (90%), Sauvignon Blanc (10%) blend. Plenty of crunchy green apple to start with a nice whack of tropical fruit and subtle minerality.
A blend of organically grown Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. The Chenin fruit is from Lulu Lutz’s vineyard in Blewitt Springs, a site rich in white sands over clay and schist. These east-facing vines have been managed organically for nine of their 17 years. The Sauvignon fruit is from an elevated site (380 metres) in Peter’s Creek, McLaren Vale. The 22-year-old vines face north and stand in clay, quartz and ironstone. The Chenin fruit is destemmed and sits on skins for one day before pressing to a mix of steel and old wood vessels for fermentation. The Sauvignon component was destemmed to amphora and left on skins for 10 months.
