Onkaparinga hills vineyard, planted on schist and clay in 1996, certified organic, on kaurna country, indigenous yeast, pressed straight to seasoned french oak for five months. 

About Ochota Barrels

In the Adelaide Hills, Ochota Barrels creates wines that honor the memory of founder Taras Ochota, continuing his vision under the stewardship of Amber, Yari, and Louis.

These are wines born of intuition - grapes picked when they're irresistibly delicious, guided by natural acidity and wild fermentation. Old bush vines in living soil produce concentrated fruit that speaks for itself through minimal intervention winemaking.

Following Occam's Razor, they believe simplicity reveals truth. The result: gorgeous, authentic wines with none of the nasties and all of the love—a celebration of place, season, and the human spirit that tends the vines.
