About The Wine

The perfect mid-week dry white. Juicy and fruit forward with a beautiful array of stone fruits and green apple complemented by subtle chamomile aromatics.

Viticulture & Winemaking

Fruit is sourced from the sustainably farmed Chalmers Merbein site in the Murray Darling, where organic carbon is used to build soil health and water retention. Organic nutrients and most fungicides are employed, with no residual herbicides; ongoing mulch and weed-control trials aim to eliminate chemical herbicides entirely. Chalmers is fully certified with Sustainable Winegrowing Australia.

Harvested on 28 January, the fruit was whole-bunch pressed, settled for two days, and co-fermented—25% in barrel (including one new French oak barrel) and the remainder in tank. After 21 days the wine was transferred to mostly neutral French oak, with a small portion of new oak, for six months’ maturation. Wild-yeast fermented, unfiltered, unfined, with no additions other than minimal sulphur. Vegan friendly.

Matt grows grapes in Sunbury and the Diamond Valley while also sourcing fruit for Blood Moon Wines from other responsible growers all over Victoria. 

This is wine for the people. Wine that is expressive of time and place. Matt takes a hands-off approach in the winemaking and the result is a sensory experience, textural wines that are considered and harmonic.
