2024 Blood Moon Wines 'Dream' Pinot Noir

About The Wine

Fruit sourced from Dash Farms vineyard in Faraday near Bendigo. A cool, sheltered valley where fruit ripens at a measured pace.

Winemaking - 20% of the fruit was placed in the bottom of the fermenters, the rest gently destemmed over the top. There was no plunging, just cap rolling. Wild yeasts were allowed to complete the fermentation, maceration was 20 days. Pressed to predominantly older neutral French oak barrels, with a couple of second and third fill barrels in the mix. Maturation was 9 months. The clones (MV6 and D5V12) were vinified separately and blended prior to bottling.

No additions apart from sulphur, no fining or filtration. Vegan friendly.

Matt grows grapes in Sunbury and the Diamond Valley while also sourcing fruit for Blood Moon Wines from other responsible growers all over Victoria. 

This is wine for the people. Wine that is expressive of time and place. Matt takes a hands-off approach in the winemaking and the result is a sensory experience, textural wines that are considered and harmonic.
