About The Wine
Finesse and tradition perfectly define this wine.
The aromas are delicate, predominantly fruity. The attack on the palate is lively with flavors of citrus and orange blossom. The minerality is still discreet and will intensify over the coming months, already revealing the first notes of salinity.
It will flourish with delicate dishes such as shellfish and festive poultry.
From a plot of 35 year old biodynamically farmed vines planted on marl/clay soils.
Grapes are handpicked, whole bunch pressed and fermented and matured in stainless steel tanks for 6 months on lees.
About Domaine Mittnacht Freres
It is at the foot of the fortified church of Hunawihr that the Mittnacht family has been producing highly expressive wines since 1963.
Today, it is Marc Mittnacht, son of André, his wife Paule and his son Pierre who work the 11 hectares of vines spread across the best terroirs of Hunawihr and Ribeauvillé.
For more than 20 years now, the vineyard has been managed using Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture.
