About The Wine
On the nose you get fresh herbs and plums which carry through to the palate, along with blueberries and some subtle red fruits. These are complemented with a touch of earthiness, combined with gentle, velvety tannins. This wine is a happy medium body and not to heavy – perfectly balanced. A great representation of Clare Valley Cabernet.
Cabernet Sauvignon picked on the 22nd March - We are chasing freshness, fruit forward wines in a medium bodied style with our cabs, because the grapes hung on the vine for longer than usual, they had time to produce flavour with great concentration. We have seen some of the best Cabernets to date come from the 2023 vintage.
About Gullyview Estate
Anthony and Christine Koerner bought ‘Gullyview Vineyards’ on 15 May 1987. Today they are producing some of Australia’s highest quality grapes. In 2023 son Jono and partner Megan Jenkin established ‘Gullyview Estate’ which pays homage to Christine and Anthony’s hard work through carefully crafted wines that reflect the place in which they call home.
Jono was previously in business with his brother Damon Koerner. They founded Koerner Wine together back in 2014 and after 10 years, it was time for the boys to concentrate on their own projects, Damon continued Koerner Wine and that is when Gullyview Estate was born.
