Foradori

The Foradori estate is a magical experience. Sitting pretty in Trentino, in the northern part of Italy at the gates of the Alto Adige region, you'll find awe-inspiring biodynamically farmed sloping vineyards, an integrated polyculture farm and a massive cellar of amphoras. This is a fantastical work of art meets science.

Foradori

Elisabetta Foradori brought fame to the native grape Teroldego with dark, brooding Southern Rhone-styled wines, and in so doing, put the region of Campo Rotaliano squarely on the map. However, over the last ten years, owing the influence of Elisabetta's family, the domaine has been moving in the opposite direction, focusing on purity and natural winemaking.

The soil beneath the ancient vineyards of Campo Rotaliano has unique physical and chemical properties that vary markedly from place to place depending on the distance to the ancient river bed: gravel, sand and pebbles of different origin and nature. The richness in minerals and the low water retention combined with the mountains’ protective influence, help to create a perfect microclimate for the cultivation of grapevines.

Some might call this nature, but you'd be hard up trying to convince me it's not magic.

Frequently asked questions about Foradori

What makes Foradori wines special?

Foradori wines are selected for their quality, personality and sense of place. We focus on producers whose wines feel distinctive, carefully made and genuinely enjoyable to drink.

How are these wines made?

Foradori follows a thoughtful, low-intervention approach to winemaking. The focus is on healthy vineyards, careful farming, hand-harvested fruit, wild yeast fermentations and avoiding unnecessary additions or manipulation in the winery. Rather than chasing a particular style, the aim is to produce wines that honestly reflect the vineyard, the season and the winemaker's intent.

Which Foradori wine should I start with?

If you're new to Foradori, start with the bottle that best matches the style you already enjoy. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll happily point you toward the best place to begin.

Are these wines good for gifting?

Absolutely. Foradori makes an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys discovering thoughtful, small-batch wines. Add a greeting card at checkout and we'll make sure no pricing information is included in the parcel.

How should I store and serve these wines?

Store bottles somewhere cool, dark and stable. Serve whites, sparkling and lighter reds chilled, and give fuller reds a gentle cool-down rather than serving them too warm.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes. We ship Australia-wide, with free delivery on orders over $149. Most orders arrive within 5 business days.
