What do these six wines all have in common?
They're all below 11% ABV. So if you're looking to pace yourself, cut down a little or planning to last the distance, these are the wines for you. These reds love a chill so this is a great selection for a sunny Summer's afternoon.
2021 Persephone Wines Rouge Deux
Alc: 9.6% ABV
Refreshing yet savory with comforting texture. Ripe strawberries, fleshy cherries, satisfying.
2021 Persephone Wines Blanc
Alc: 9.8% ABV
Soft tannins from the skin-fermented Semillon harmoniously blended with the bright and floral Chardonnay; an age-worthy wine to have with a meal.
2021 The Other Right 'Hearts Will Repair' Shiraz
A carbonic cheerful Shiraz from the Sparrows vineyard. Very light, almost Loire-esque, but in Shiraz. Blackberries and hay bales. As light as Shiraz gets, really.
2021 The Other Right 'Moonshine' Viogner
Alc: 10.3 % ABV
A featherweight orange Viognier with a dash of Pinot Gris. Bergamot, Turkish delight, fenugreek and cardamom. Like the feeling that summer is here. Like joy. Like it’s always meant to be.
2021 Koerner 'Pigato' Vermentino
Alc: 10.7% ABV
Vermentino destemmed and left on skins for 20 days with no whole bunch. Like a super refreshing hazy peach iced tea.
2019 Nikau 'Tolone' Riesling
The wine seems very refined with incredible structure and presence. It is an elegant and haunting thing of beauty with much vitality and freshness.
