Grown by Steve Travers at Merindoch’s Willoughby Bridge Vineyard i n Colbinabbin. Picked early and pressed quickly before fermentation and elevage i n French oak puncheons. Only minimal sulfur added at bottling.
A bright salmon colour in the glass, a bouquet of floral notes with a hint of apple, cucumber, and watermelon. The palate i s driven with a l ively minerality, some plushness, and a delicate toasted spice character.
A hat tip to the complex roses of Spain and South-West France.
