Spooky Label / Lovely Wine.
I think this is my favourite wine i've made so far and was born from hard work from a site in Sailors Falls that i managed this year. In the vineyard i had a vision of what i wanted this wine to become and i think it has actually surpassed what i had hoped it would be.
Whole bunch Gamay semi-carbonically fermented under whole berry Pinot Noir in amphora, pressed back to amphora then aged for 6 months. Gravity racked & hand bottled.
Sour red & black fruits into dried fruits and herbs, ntoxicating on the nose - leads you to believe the wine to be robust than what it is but the delicate savouriness is at once intriguing and refined. Bright acidity, super fine delicate tannins that dance on the tongue and coat your back palate and leaves you wanting more.
750ml 11.5% alc.
