Notes from winemaker, Pat Underwood:
The 2020 wines are looking honestly awesome. There's not massive concentration, some rain events pushed sugars all over the place depending on site.
NEW! benefits from the beautiful freshness of the vintage (near perfect flavour ripeness) and the method of blending early and late picks together has allowed a phenolically ripe and satisfying wine to land spot on 13.5% with beautiful acidity and balance of flavours.
Lovely blackberry and strawberry sit either side of super juby raspberry aromas, picture some curb side rosemary and that lovely rusty red Colbinabbin spice on top. Actually smells like tar and wisteria.
Nimble wine on the palate. Lovely zingy acid and young tannin push forward initially, with dark purple fruit folding across the palate - woody tannin just behind. Salivating finish screams for fat and salt - or another sip.
