Notes provided by Mr Giovanni:
Most of the sangiovese this year comes from a small but perfectly formed vineyard in Ashton, deep in the Adelaide Hills. Brunello clone. Additional Sangiovese from the Hoffmann's, plus some Picadilly Nero d'Avola and Kuitpo Pinot Nero, making it an Adelaide Hills dominant wine. Wild.
A slightly more serious and structured rendition of the classic Rosso style – dark cherry, cigar box, a slight smokiness, darker red fruits but still fun and chill-able. She yearns for some food.
