About Domaine Rois Mages
Following their father's footpath, Arnaud and David have decided to perpetuate the history of the family in Chablis. Since 2010, they have been working along side each other just outside of Chablis in Lignorelles, creating some remarkable Chablis. Having the incredible chance to acquire a total of 20 hectares of vines, the brothers have an eager to be recognise for their hard work and share their passion.
Their vineyards are farmed sustainably paying close attention to the natural biodiversity of the surrounding area. Lavantureux Freres is a combination of a beautiful terroir, with vines beneficing a Northern location from Chablis creating leaner wines, with the knowledge of Arnaud who works in the cellar and in the vineyard, who attends to make his Chablis in a Cotes de Beaune style. His brother David, the oldest is the brain behind the distribution and the sales. Both brothers haved had the experience to learn next to their (now retired winemaker) father Roland Lavantureux who's parents started making wines in Chablis in the 70's. Together, the youngsters have made changes to vineyard and cellar management resulting in the most pure, precise, expressive wines the domaine has ever released. The wines are showing vivacity, freshness and salinity in spite the heat of the 2018 vintage. Very excited to be able to share with you this limited amount of goodness.
