Notes on the wine from winemaker Aaron Fenwick:
The fruit is from Magpie Springs farm in Hope Valley on the southern
range of the Adelaide Hills and is farmed by Steve Thomas. Surrounded by
big gum trees, afternoon sea breezes come over Willunga hill straight into
the vineyard which sits on sandy loam, clay & ironstone.
This wine is the free run of a 100% destemmed merlot ferment that was in
a large 3000L oak fermenter. The juice was pulled off after 2 and a half days on skins.
Recommended for breakfast, lunch & dinner!
