Mark Matthews is a man who has worked tirelessly for over 10 years on implementing as many sustainable practices as possible into his Mount Macleod operation. He has planted over 14000 trees on his property, implemented a weed management program propagated by hard labour, and he is slowly working to remove weak vines and replace them. His green- efforts also go into his packaging where he imports post-consumer recycled paper for his labels and lighter bottles with a lower carbon footprint. The wines are damn bloody delicious too!
20% of the fruit for this wine was whole bunch fermented which led to a shorter extraction. A silky and light Pinot with red fruits, forest floor earth notes, spice and a savoury finish.
