Dark red-violet in colour, with aromas of black currant, licorice, wildflowers, cherry, sun warmed earth, trace of baking spice. Blackberry, red currant, black cherry, licorice and black pepper are framed by fresh acidity and firm tannins. Morello cherry and hazelnut linger between each plush sip.
Vines are in sandy, clay soils. Spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, aged on the fine lees in 20 hectoliters old oak barrels. Hand harvested, unfined, unfiltered, no added S02. 100% Muristellu macerated on skins for 7 days and aged on lees in 20 HL old oak.
