The grape variety in this wine is Nosiola, an indigenous variety to the Trentino region of far-northern Italy. The variety is said to express itself in intensely poor soils; a diamond forged under pressure, if you will.
The wine fermented on skins for 8 months in Spanish Tinaja (amphorae) before maturing in Acacia casks.
Expect a delicate savoury and nutty aroma to this wine after allowing it to develop for a short period after opening. Rich on the palate with gentle acidity and a good kiss of texture.
