During the early 90's, out of a small cave in Banyuls in the Roussillon, Alain Castex and his wife made wines of legendary status due to the spectacular terrain on which their vineyards were planted.
After selling these vineyards in 2014, Alain moved an hour inland from the Mediterranean Sea and acquired 2.5 hectares of vineyards which he called Le Vins du Cabanon. This vineyard as well as fruit from a handful of trusted growers is now the basis for his vibrant natural wines.
Syrah, Merlot. Semi-carbonic maceration, fermentation and affinage in old barrels and cement tanks.
