100% Syrah from Faraday, up near Castlemaine in central Victoria. 8 day carbonic maceration before being basket pressed and left to mature in two old oak barrels. Blended together after 14 months.
The nose is super concentrated, showing spices and black cherries and blackberries. A subtle note of wintergreen and cinnamon toast. The palate is fresh and lean, which fills out over time. Rounded out with an olive salinity and refreshing acid. No added S02. Stands up for days after opening.
