This is their flagship wine named Ladrón de Uvas (grape thief); a tongue in cheek recognition of the locals who to this day sneak onto the property at nighttime to steal grapes off the vines. Structurally tannins are puckering, carrying the prominent fruit well. Perfectly ripe at 11.5% alc, this is a true terroir-driven wine marrying climate, soil and culture in a highly moreish rough- diamond kind of País. The volcanic soil makes itself known with the trademark stony, dry structure and chew. This drinks like the finest Etna wines, pure magma juice. Serve at room temp with something meaty.
