Pacina is a legendary estate in the hills outside Siena, Tuscany. Part of the Chianti zone, and originally established in the 10th century (!) Pacina is a mixed farm growing grapes, olives, cereals, legumes and fruit and veg. The same family has cultivated this land for 5 generations with a sensitivity to nature and gentle organic farming.
Finally is back! Grapes are sourced from young vines between 7-13 years old.
8 hours ’Salasso’ of healthy ripe Sangiovese grapes in concrete tank. 4 more months in concrete to finish fermentation and malolactic. Aged 12 months in 500L Allier oak barrels, no sulphites added and only 1800 bottles made. Bottled April 2020.
