35% Pinot Gris, 26 year old vines on their own roots; 35% Gamay. THEN THE REST: Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. Most of the fruit comes from Robert Surmann’s vineyard in Totness on black sandy soil over petrified schist. The vinification is mostly carbonic and the wines are assembled in a 2200L oak barrel. It has been a ‘summer of love’ for me (Anton), so this wine is made to drink or hold on to because ‘you have to keep the fires burning HOT!’ The wine is a light pink/red with plush rosehip and savoury characters. Serve a little chilled for the glou-glou moment! Enjoy the taste of summer love any time of the year.
